The fourth song recorded in the studio. I hope you enjoy it and feel a kick of inspiration. Because that's what this is about...inspiring, pushing someone to create, to evolve ideas, that's what we are here to do. Kyle, once again, thank you my man. Without you these songs wouldn't be where they are.
I would like to note that the clip in the middle of the song is from Bill Hicks' last stand up act, Revelations.
The World is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real, because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round, and it has thrills and chills and is very brightly colored, and it's very loud. And it's fun, for a while.
Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they've begun to question, 'Is this real, or is this just a ride?', and other people have remembered, and they've come back to us and they say 'Hey, don't worry. Don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride.' and we KILL THOSE PEOPLE.
An intro bumper for Westside Church's summer 2017 series, "The Human Experience". Since the series was going to touch on a variety of human emotions, it was hard to pin down which emotion to explore in the intro music. I gravitate to minor chords, so my first effort sounded a little bit too sad. Thanks to some great feedback from my trusty roommate, the end result skirts the line of melancholy and peaceful, which isn't a bad place to start considering other more extreme emotions.
