'Time only exists so that everything does not happen at once'
Artwork by Troika
Second movement of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt's double concerto, Tabula Rasa. Silentium, meaning Silence, is sewn together by threads of sound, much like how Timelessness expands from infinitely individuated moments of Time.
Of his music, Pärt explains, "I could compare my music to white light which contains all colours. Only a prism can divide the colours and make them appear; this prism could be the spirit of the listener."
