Roll with It - cover - Steve Winwood - feat James Wilkas, Horns and Sax Solo

Roll with It - Steve Winwood 1988 written by Steve Winwood and Will Jennings I am very pleased to have had the help of James Wilkas, multi-instrumentalist, from Thomaston, Connecticut, (http://www.fandalism.com/jimmididr) who played all horns and the phenomenal Tenor Sax Solo. He also encouraged me to 'do the right thing' and helped with fine-tuning the mix. I am so impressed with his talent! Thank you, James! Plz go check out Jimmy's stuff on his page. You'll be glad you did! SaGoBa played all keys/synth/organ, programmed the drums, sang all vocals and produced the song. I again came away from this song, more amazed at the talent of Steve Winwood. To think he did all this 26 years ago is astonishing! As always, I hope this is enjoyed by my many friends here on Fandalism. It was a joy to bring it to you. Sam Lyrics: When life is too much, roll with it, baby Don't stop and lose your touch, oh no, baby Hard times knocking on your door I'll tell them you ain't there no more Get on through it, roll with it, baby Luck'll come and then slip away,You gotta move, bring it back to stay You just roll with it, baby Come on and just roll with it, baby You and me, roll with it, baby Hang on and just roll with it, baby The way that you love is good as money I swear by stars above, sweet as honey, People think you're down and out You show them what it's all about, You can make it, roll with it, baby When this world turns its back on you Hang in and do that sweet thing you do Now there'll be a day you'll get there, baby You'll hear the music play, you'll dance, baby You'll leave bad times way behind, Nothing but good times on your mind You can do it, roll with it, baby Then you'll see life will be so nice It's just a step up to paradise

I have played this tune since first hearing it in 1970. I never performed it in public until 2010, when I made it part of my solo act. As you know, Paul McCartney is a phenomenal songwriter, musician, vocalist and arranger. He is one of those rare individuals that can DO IT ALL! long live Sir Paul McCartney..... Lyrics: Maybe, I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time, And maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you. Maybe I'm amazed at the way you pulled me out of time, You hung me on the line. Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you. Baby, I'm a man, maybe I'm a lonely man Who's in the middle of something That he doesn't really understand. Baby, I'm a man, And maybe you're the only woman who could ever help me. Baby, won't you help me to understand? Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Oh, oh, oh, Oh, oh, oh, oh, Oh. Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time, Maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you. Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song, Right me when I'm wrong- Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you.

Frenchman's Cay - SaGoBa (for the EP, B.V.I. Tales)

Frenchman's Cay by SaGoBa written for the EP, B.V.I. Tales, by SaGoBa (written as an homage to Gary Brooker and Procol Harum) altho the lyrics employ a nautical theme, the song is written as an allegory about finding my way back to music in 2010 and the result of my attempt at finding success. the tune is almost totally remade. i also added guitar work to it. i submit this to the fando community with humility. all the best, sam Verse He set the sails, Pushed out to sea Never thinking, How soon it would be Tho he was certain, He'd find his way home The boat lay anchored And he was sorely alone Chorus Come stormy seas, Come take me away Let me be unbroken, Until my dyin' day Verse Born a sailor, Then drifted away Awakened by fate, The Blue calling his name Fair winds surrounded him, Pushed him port to port White Bay to Spanish Town, Then back to the north Chorus Verse Skies grew dark and threatened, From the north it did blow There was no confusion, On which course he would go Miles off the heading, Any port in a storm Finding shelter on Frenchman's Cay, Tried to keep himself warm Chorus Verse Fear filled the brewhouse, Locals tied him fast No words were spoken, Him hanging from the mast Look back and wonder, Where the wonder has gone They cut the ropes upon the tide, Lost to the sea all along Chorus

Edge of the World - SaGoBa (c) 2013 Written by and all instruments* and vocal by SaGoBa (all rights reserved) *Guitar Solo by Fandalism's Master Guitarist, Danny Roffe www.fandalism.com/dlrdanny Lyrics: Verse, As I look over, The edge of the world tonite, I wonder why my fears have kept me frozen, All these years If I could do it over, If there was another chance for me, Would I have the courage to strip away, these clothes to bare my soul? Chorus One life, One crossroad, One spoken word, Or left unsaid, Is all that matters Regret, Misfortune, No one can change, What's gone before, Only the latter, No one can save you from yourself Verse Altho it's nearly over, The edge of the world tonite, I still wonder why chances come my way, To right the wrongs of yesterday Is someone watching over, The edge of the world tonite, Will we ever know, Our questions, will they go, Away? Chorus One life, One crossroad, One spoken word, Or left unsaid, Is all that matters Regret, Misfortune, No one can change, What's gone before, Only the latter, No one can save you from yourself

Shock the Monkey - cover - Peter Gabriel 1982

Shock the Monkey - Peter Gabriel 1982 _____________________________________ Synths, Guitar, Vocals, Drum Programming and Production by SAGOBA. while waiting for my CD to be released, i've been busy doing a bunch of 80's cover tunes. this one was one i had performed live and had 16 tracks on my old Triton. well, i scrapped nearly all of those tracks as i realized how much more there was to this song in the original recording. Peter Gabriel was ground-breaking in his unusual sound and it gave me fits just trying to do something similar. as usual, i am off the mark, but i learned a lot in the process. i hope this is enjoyed by all my friends.... btw, my new CD, titled 'From a Dead Stop' will be released the first week of May and will be available thru CD Baby, Amazon, iTunes, etc. blessings to all, sam

Thank you, Marilee! lyrics Think about it, there must be higher love Down in the heart or hidden in the stars above Without it, life is a wasted time Look inside your heart, I'll look inside mine Things look so bad everywhere In this whole world, what is fair? We walk blind and we try to see Falling behind in what could be Bring me a higher love Bring me a higher love Bring me a higher love Where's that higher love I keep thinking of? Worlds are turning and we're just hanging on Facing our fear and standing out there alone A yearning, and it's real to me There must be someone who's feeling for me Things look so bad everywhere In this whole world, what is fair? We walk blind and we try to see Falling behind in what could be Bring me a higher love Bring me a higher love Bring me a higher love Where's that higher love I keep thinking of? Bring me a higher love Bring me a higher love Bring be a higher love I could rise above on a higher love I will wait for it I'm not too late for it Until then, I'll sing my song To cheer the night along Bring it... Oh bring it... I could light the night up with my soul on fire I could make the sun shine from pure desire Let me feel that love come over me Let me feel how strong it could be Bring me a higher love Bring me a higher love Bring me a higher love Where's that higher love I keep thinking of?
