2. Fl Choir Bolero Rhumba

Fl Choir Bolero Rhumba

The Bolero Rhumba is a variation of the Rhumba (one of many Afro-Cuban dances in four beats). Its tempo is slow and has some rhythmic variations in the percussion. Its original instrumentation includes clave, maracas, cowbell, guiro, bongo, conga, timbal and drum set. This piece mixes the syncopation and style of the Bolero Rhumba with challenging ear catching chromatic scales. (finale sounds) www.liliflute.com (paypal) https://squareup.com/store/liliflute (USA)

6. El Diablo suelto duo Fl&Cllo

El Diablo suelto duo Fl&Cllo

El Diablo Suelto is a famous piece of Venezuelan traditional music by Heraclio Fernández. It's a brisk, lively dance, like a quick Valse, which has become a classic virtuosity piece of most Venezuelan performers. This arrangement can be played as a duo, or with the traditional cuatro accompaniment, the small yet very dynamic four-string strummed guitar which is typical in Venezuelan music. 7. Solo alto Flute - Fantasia en 6/8

Solo alto Flute - Fantasia en 6/8

Colombian guitarist and composer José Revelo Burbano and flutist Carmen Marulanda had work together to bring the Fantasía en 6/8, original for Clarinet and Guitar to our collection for Alto Flute pieces. The "Fantasía en 6/8" (bambuco) in a lively blend of 6/8 & 3/4 meters, fully express the complex multicultural background of Colombian music today, standing at the crossroads of Hispanic, Afro-Colombian and Jazz influences. www.liliflute.com https://squareup.com/store/liliflute

8. A - Un - Paisano

A - Un - Paisano

www.liliflute.com - All the arrangements for Camaradería ensemble pose the challenge of varied instrumental colors and genres. We chose a repertory of different rhythms and eras of traditional Colombian music, exploring combinations and learning each other's instrumental possibilities. Chispas - Traditional Colombian pasillo by Miliciades Garavito

Arranged in traditional style, Chispas requires great precision due to the speed and quantity of notes. As a melodic and countermelodic resource, it is juxtaposed with the Río Cali pasillo, showing the formal harmonic curve of this genre. Santafereña: Dance by Francisco Cristancho

Each instrument plays the theme, achieving light textures with second voices, tiple strummings and pizzicato. A un paisano: Venezuelan waltz by Henry Martínez

The original score for two mandolins is expanded for the Camaradería group, giving weight to the lower voices and lightness to the fast passages. Henry Martínez is one of today's leading composers in Colombia's neighboring country. Ojo al Toro: Bambuco fiestero by Cantalicio Rojas

With great rhythmic precision and dense countersubjects, this piece is delicious to play due to its syncopation and off-beat accents. The bridge features currulao rhythms (an Afro-Colombian genre from the Pacific) as the foundation for clarinet improvisation. The transition from the classic Colombian bambuco genre to the currulao reveals the relationship between these two great representations of our popular music – the first being Spanish and mestizo, the second African. https://squareup.com/market/liliflute

11. Paul Desenne - Pajarillo de la Culebra

Paul Desenne - Pajarillo de la Culebra

Pajarillo de la Culebra (1989), is the first movement of a Venezuelan Quintet for flute, oboe, violin, cello and cuatro, the strummed four- string guitar of the Orinoco basin, spanning Venezuela and Colombia. This is precisely the region in which the Pajarillo, a song and dance form, is a predominant musical expression. Basically it consists of a very short, 4-bar minor harmonic cycle related to the Spanish fandango; a structure fit for endless instrumental and vocal improvisation. This miniature pajarillo is like a brisk harmonic clash between two birds, far away, on the horizon of the boundless plains. After an encounter and a wild chase, the two instruments vanish in the distance. This pajarillo explores the dissonances contained in the harmonic cycle, as well as the rhythmic shifts of the genre. Both the harmonic wit and the rhythmic intensity add a great deal of spice to this miniature. https://squareup.com/store/liliflute
