H A B I T A T is the result of one year worth of rejected ideas, workflows and assets that never made it to fruition as a commercial project. As far as design goes an art director has to go against his own tastes opting for the best interpretation. A great chunk of these projects don't even make it through the research and development phase, which does not speak for the works own quality. This project represents a homage to all the rejected and disregarded ideas that culminate in a creative persons everyday life. Contentwise the project deals with the topographic presentation of various objects and motions, in order to create a language of form which grows organically whilst sustaining the aspects of its technical construction. So for my motion class' second project, we were assigned to create a 15-20 second animation using type in motion. I am by no means very experienced in typography, but I decided to challenge myself to create some custom vector letters. The end result is nowhere near the finished idea I had when I began this project since this coming week is midterm week, so I only had little time for this project... but hey I might revisit this project later on when I have time to create something better! There are some new big projects happening under the hood that I can't talk too much about just yet, so be on the lookout for that :) Professor: Rebecca Allen TA: Refik Anadol

An abstract exploration into the natural phenomenon that exhibits a repeating pattern at every scale from ocean waves, snow flakes, crystals and the rings of Saturn. Illustrated through the illusions of ink in water, and the complex formations it creates. Filming process: All shots consist of either Ink and ice or one of the other, each substance was placed in science beaker with chilled water. The beaker was confined to a small studio setup, I generally had 1 led light on top and various ones on the side, in an in-closed space with black material so no other light got in. Shot with a canon 60mm macro lens on a Canon 700D.

A I T – Stick To Your Guns

Adventures In Transition – Stick To Your Guns It’s sort of like a dream right? Live in the place you grew up with a handful of your best friends and ski every single day. It’s tough to convince yourself that this is real life, or even a possibility. This life was never planned – and it was certainly unexpected to end up back where it all started, but not a surprise. With another year in the bag exploring areas from the past and re-discovering new places to roam in the backcountry, there’s no doubt in my mind I'm right where I want to be. I'm proud of where I am from and proud to share the dream with so many close close friends. Thank you Khai and LJ for coming to my make-believe world and making AIT a reality. Thanks to Bobby Brown who made the entire Montana trip come to life, you are a true friend and I am grateful for the support you’ve given. And the biggest thank you of all to Jake Strassman – the creative overlord of all we do, AIT will have a lasting presence in skiing because of the heart you have put into it. buy it on : Fast Animation Surface Tool V2, coming soon Inspired by what Pixar showed on Presto, this tool will really speed up your rigging workflow, but most of all your animation efficiency. You don't need anymore to create additional object to control your rigs, everything is triggered by predefined mesh zones and your mouse movements. So the advantage here is that it doesn't slowdown your scene by adding more elements, and most of all, you can control your rig directly on the mesh, without any visual interference, painful Controller selection or separate UI. So everything becomes very obvious and intuitive. you don't need the plugin to render or open a scene, just to create the zones and Animate. tutorials : for more informations go to : model from :

16. Don't be a bully, loser.

Don't be a bully, loser.

A few months ago, a Youtuber with more than half a million subscribers invited all his followers to insult a 16 years old boy, whose only fault was to have criticised him in a private message. He didn’t even worried about the fact that that kid was affected by Asperger syndrome, and bullied in the past for this reason, as he openly declared in a touching video confession on his Youtube channel. I found this massive act of collective cyber-bullying so terrible that I decided to use my animation skills to do something useful, making this video available for free to every anti-bullying association that is interested in using it.

A I T – Home On The Range

Sun Valley – Home. No big-budget trips to AK were had in this episode. Instead, just some old fashion laps on the chair with a few good friends at the home mountain. There’s nothing like skiing your own backyard in the spring snow, maybe an apré beer or a few to top it off. From the town to the slopes, some of the best days of the season were had making this episode. Have a look for yourself so you can be sure to know that “it happened in Sun Valley.” Here’s to rippin’ up the snow at the home hill. Keep your damn tips up and send it for godsake! Hi internet, I want to show you my litte private project, I worked on, about three months. The projectname 11 Kasten returns on -lets call it- "philosophical/theoretical mathematics", cause the number 11 is to read as two single digits. (Kasten is the german word for caste). It tells a very short story about two unlike "layers", which try to band together in a abstract way. The whole idea, came with this great track. If you got any questions or like what you see, just drop me a line. cheers, oskar. Sound FX // Music // Borgore - Afro Blue
